Privacy & cookies
How Lucid Livestream uses cookies and similar tools on our public site, creator interest forms, Lucid Stage profiles, Pulse on Studio Lucid, and optional Epic Games account connections.
Who we are
The public website is operated by Grove Media Inc. (Lucid Livestream). For privacy questions, contact hello@lucid-live.com.
Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4)
If you choose Allow Analytics in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic: things like pages viewed, approximate region and city (from IP, then processed at a coarse level), device and browser type, referring site or campaign, and session duration. We do not turn on Google Ads personalization or Google Signals for advertising in our site integration, and we do not use this tool to sell your personal information.
GA4 may set first-party cookies (for example names like _ga and _ga_*) so visits can be counted
across sessions. Typical maximum cookie lifetime is up to about two years unless you clear cookies sooner.
When analytics is enabled, we also log outbound link clicks (for example when you follow a link to TikTok or social profiles) as events in GA4 — without extra advertising cookies beyond the analytics cookies described above.
Google processes data on our behalf. See Google’s notice: Google Privacy Policy.
Your choice
We store your analytics choice in browser storage (localStorage) so we do not show the banner on every visit. You can change your mind anytime using Cookie settings at the bottom of the page (when the banner is dismissed) or by clearing site data for this domain.
If you decline analytics, we do not load GA4 and we ask the browser to clear common GA cookies when possible.
Chat widget (some pages)
Pages that load our third-party chat widget may set or read cookies or storage for chat sessions. That processing is governed by the provider’s terms and policies in addition to this notice.
Application interest form and TikTok redirect tracking
If you use our /apply form or /jobs role applications, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, TikTok handle when required for that role, selected live interest (on /apply), and any optional message. We use that information to review interest, follow up with you, and notify our internal team in a private Discord review channel configured by Lucid. We do not use information you submit through the interest form for marketing lists, promotional email campaigns, or paid advertising.
If you click the Apply on TikTok instead button, we record the redirect in our own system using a pseudonymous browser token and limited request metadata so we can count unique interest in that outbound application path without requiring advertising cookies. We do not use that redirect log to serve ads.
We also use Cloudflare Turnstile on the application form to reduce automated spam. Turnstile receives technical information needed to assess whether a submission appears legitimate. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Lucid Stage public profile pages
Lucid Stage pages are public creator profile pages hosted by Lucid Livestream. If a creator chooses to publish a Stage, the page may display their name, avatar, short bio, social links, and other public links they provide or approve.
We may process basic request data and aggregate traffic information for Stage pages to operate the service, prevent abuse, cache public pages, and understand whether public links are working. Outbound links may take visitors to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, or other third-party platforms with their own privacy practices.
If a Stage handle is no longer valid, the public page may show an unavailable-handle message rather than creator details. Creators can ask us to update or remove a Stage profile by contacting Lucid through their usual Lucid contact or hello@lucid-live.com.
Studio Lucid & Pulse
This section describes how Lucid Livestream (“Lucid,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Pulse by Lucid Livestream (“Pulse”) or connect an Epic Games account through Studio Lucid at studio.lucid-live.com.
Pulse and Epic Games connections are optional creator features. You are not required to connect a TikTok or Epic Games account or use Pulse to participate in other Lucid programs, unless we tell you otherwise in writing for a specific initiative.
“Pulse” is a service name used by Lucid Livestream. It is not a separate legal entity and is not a registered trademark.
1. Who we are
Lucid Livestream operates Pulse for creators in our creator network and related programs. Contact us at privacy@lucid-live.com.
2. What Pulse and Epic connections do
When you choose to connect your TikTok account, Pulse may use information authorized through TikTok's Login Kit to help Lucid coaches and systems provide:
- Performance insights and analytics summaries
- Coaching suggestions and creative ideas tailored to your content
- Content suggestions (topics, formats, and posting ideas)
- Trend analysis relevant to your niche and goals
When you choose to connect your Epic Games account, Studio Lucid may use information authorized through Epic Account Services (OAuth 2.0) to show you and authorized Lucid staff basic profile details and online presence, including when you are playing Fortnite or other Epic-connected titles where Epic exposes that status.
Pulse is designed to support your growth as a creator in Lucid's network. Epic profile and presence features are designed to help you and Lucid staff understand your connected gaming identity in Studio Lucid. Neither Pulse nor Epic-connected features post to TikTok, Epic Games, or Fortnite on your behalf unless we separately offer that capability, clearly disclose it, and you opt in.
3. TikTok Login Kit scopes
When you connect TikTok to Pulse, we request the following scopes through TikTok Login Kit (OAuth 2.0). These are the only TikTok data permissions Pulse is designed to use:
Authorize request scope string: user.info.basic,user.info.profile,user.info.stats,video.list
| Scope | What TikTok allows | How Pulse uses it |
|---|---|---|
| user.info.basic | Read a user's profile info (open id, avatar, display name, …). Included in Login Kit. | Verify your TikTok account, link it to your Studio Lucid profile, and show your display name and avatar in Pulse and related creator tools (including My Stage). |
| user.info.profile | Read profile_web_link, profile_deep_link, bio_description, and is_verified. | Understand your public profile context for coaching, pre-fill or suggest Stage bio and links, and show verification status where relevant. |
| user.info.stats | Read statistical data such as likes count, follower count, following count, and video count. | Provide performance insights, analytics summaries, benchmarks, and trend context for you and your Lucid coaches. |
| video.list | Read a user's public videos on TikTok. | Review your recent public posts for content suggestions, coaching ideas, creative direction, and optional featured clips on your Lucid Stage page. |
TikTok may allow you to grant all scopes or only a subset. We access and store data only for scopes you actually grant. If you deny a scope, related Pulse features may be limited or unavailable.
We do not request scopes to post on your behalf (video.publish, video.upload), read private messages, or
access non-public TikTok data beyond what these scopes allow.
Epic Games OAuth scopes
When you connect an Epic Games account in Studio Lucid, we request the following scopes through Epic Account Services (OAuth 2.0). These are the only Epic Games data permissions Studio Lucid is designed to use:
Authorize request scope string: basic_profile presence
| Scope | What Epic allows | How Studio Lucid uses it |
|---|---|---|
| basic_profile | Read basic account information such as Epic account ID, display name, and language preferences. Required for any Epic Account Services access. | Verify your Epic Games account, link it to your Studio Lucid profile, and show your display name and account identifiers in creator tools. |
| presence | Read online status and, when available, game-specific status for titles you are playing (including Fortnite). | Display your current online or in-game status in Studio Lucid and, where relevant, help Lucid staff understand when you may be live or available in supported Epic titles. |
Epic may allow you to grant all scopes or only a subset. We access and store data only for scopes you actually grant. If you deny a scope, related Epic-connected features may be limited or unavailable.
We do not request scopes to manage your Epic friends list (friends_list), read your email address
(email), change your presence on your behalf, or access Epic data beyond what these scopes allow. Game-specific
Fortnite status is visible only when Epic exposes it for our authorized application and according to your Epic privacy settings.
4. Information we collect
In addition to the TikTok and Epic Games data described above, we may collect:
- Studio Lucid account data — name, email, role, and authentication identifiers from our identity provider (WorkOS), used to identify you and secure your session.
- TikTok authorization data — OAuth access and refresh tokens, the list of scopes you granted, token expiry, TikTok
open_id, and connection timestamps. - Epic Games authorization data — OAuth access and refresh tokens, the list of scopes you granted, token expiry, Epic account ID, and connection timestamps.
- Epic profile and presence data — display name, language preferences, online status, and game-specific status (such as Fortnite activity) returned by Epic for scopes you grant.
- Derived Pulse data — analytics summaries, coaching notes, content suggestions, trend reports, and similar outputs generated from authorized TikTok data and, where applicable, other information you already provided to Lucid (for example, your TikTok handle on file).
- Usage and security data — logs of connection, disconnection, and feature use within Studio Lucid; session cookies; and standard request metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for security, abuse prevention, and support.
5. How we use information
We use Pulse- and Epic-related information to:
- Verify that a connected TikTok or Epic Games account belongs to you and align it with your Lucid profile
- Generate insights, analytics views, and trend summaries for you and your Lucid coaches
- Provide coaching suggestions, content ideas, and creative recommendations
- Display Epic Games profile details and presence status in Studio Lucid
- Improve Studio Lucid features and fix errors (using aggregated or de-identified data where practical)
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect Lucid, creators, and platform integrity
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Pulse or Epic-connected data for third-party advertising profiles.
6. TikTok, Epic Games, and other service providers
Pulse relies on TikTok when you authorize access through Login Kit. Epic-connected features rely on Epic Games when you authorize access through Epic Account Services. TikTok's and Epic's collection and use of your data on their platforms is governed by their policies, not this document.
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Studio Lucid, including:
- TikTok (to authenticate and retrieve TikTok data you authorize)
- Epic Games (to authenticate and retrieve Epic profile and presence data you authorize)
- WorkOS (authentication)
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud (hosting and storage)
- Other subprocessors we use to run Studio Lucid, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations
Pulse and Epic-connected Studio Lucid features are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by TikTok or Epic Games. TikTok is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd. Epic Games and Fortnite are trademarks of Epic Games, Inc.
7. Who can see your information
Authorized Lucid staff and coaches involved in your creator network relationship may access Pulse outputs and connection status to support coaching and program operations. Access is limited on a need-to-know basis.
Other creators cannot see your TikTok or Epic Games tokens or raw OAuth credentials. Any sharing of suggestions or benchmarks inside Lucid tools will be designed to avoid exposing your private tokens or unrelated personal data.
8. Your choices: opt in, disconnect, and revoke
Optional. Pulse and Epic Games connections are voluntary. You may decline to connect TikTok or Epic Games, or disconnect at any time from Studio Lucid (where available) or by contacting privacy@lucid-live.com.
Unlink in Studio Lucid. When you disconnect Pulse or Epic Games, we stop using your tokens for new features. We delete or deactivate stored tokens within a reasonable period unless we must retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Revoke on TikTok or Epic Games. You can also revoke our app's access in your TikTok or Epic Games account settings. Revocation on those platforms may not automatically delete data we already received; contact us if you want deletion as described below.
9. Retention
We retain Pulse data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including while your account is connected and for a limited period afterward to support disconnect requests, disputes, and legal obligations.
- OAuth tokens — retained while connected; deleted or invalidated after disconnect, typically within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for security or law.
- TikTok profile and video metadata — refreshed while connected; deleted or anonymized after disconnect when no longer needed for coaching history you asked us to keep.
- Epic profile and presence data — refreshed while connected; deleted or anonymized after disconnect when no longer needed for Studio Lucid features or coaching history you asked us to keep.
- Derived insights and coaching notes — may be retained longer where needed for legitimate coaching records, but you may request deletion subject to Section 10.
- Security and audit logs — retained for a limited period consistent with our security program.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@lucid-live.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Pulse data, including encrypted transport, access controls, and storing secrets outside application code. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. Children
Pulse and Epic-connected features are intended for creators who meet TikTok's and Epic Games' minimum age requirements and our program eligibility rules. We do not knowingly collect personal information through these features from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Contact us if you believe we have done so.
13. International users
We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. By using Pulse or Epic-connected features, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
14. Changes
We may update this Pulse privacy section from time to time. The “Last updated” date and version number will change when we do. Material changes may require renewed acceptance in Studio Lucid before continued use of Pulse or Epic-connected features.
15. Related policies
General Studio Lucid practices may also be described in our Studio Lucid policies. If there is a conflict specific to Pulse, Epic Games data, or TikTok data, this Pulse privacy section controls for those features. See also our Terms & Conditions for Pulse and Epic Games connections.

How we limit handling
We try to keep public application data limited to what we need for recruiting review and response. Internal notifications are restricted to Lucid personnel who handle creator interest intake. We may retain submission records and redirect logs for operational follow-up, fraud prevention, duplicate review, and basic reporting, then delete or minimize them when no longer reasonably needed.
California & other U.S. privacy rights
We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) in connection with the practices described here. California residents may have additional rights to know, delete, or correct personal information; contact us at the email above.
